Ephesians 5:22-33 | Gospel-Shaped Marriages
Pastor Josh teaches from Ephesians 5:22–33 that marriage is designed by God to display the gospel—the relationship between Christ and His church. Wives are called to a voluntary posture of respect and submission to their own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Husbands are called to Christlike love that is sacrificial, sanctifying (aimed at spiritual good), and tender, never harsh or abusive.
The message ends by pointing to Jesus as the source of forgiveness and power for imperfect spouses so their marriages can “tell the truth” about the gospel.
